3. Estimates and Pricing
3.1 Estimates
- All estimates provided are approximate and based on the information you provide to us
- Written estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified
- Estimates may change if the actual scope of work differs from what was initially described
- On-site estimates are recommended for accurate pricing
3.2 Pricing
- Final charges are based on actual time, labor, materials used, and distance traveled
- Hourly rates include travel time to and from your location
- Additional charges may apply for stairs, long carries, oversized items, or special handling requirements

4. Booking and Cancellation
4.1 Booking
- Services must be booked in advance, subject to availability
- A deposit may be required to secure your moving date
- We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak moving season (May-September)
4.2 Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled move date
- Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may result in forfeiture of your deposit
- Weather-related cancellations will be handled on a case-by-case basis
- We reserve the right to cancel services due to unsafe conditions or circumstances beyond our control
5. Customer Responsibilities
5.1 Preparation
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information about your move, including inventory and property details
- Properly preparing items for moving (disconnecting appliances, emptying drawers, etc.)
- Disclosing any hazardous materials or prohibited items
- Ensuring adequate access to both pickup and delivery locations
- Obtaining necessary parking permits or building clearances
5.2 Prohibited Items
We do not transport:
- Hazardous materials (flammables, explosives, chemicals)
- Perishable food items
- Illegal substances or contraband
- Live plants or animals
- Cash, jewelry, or irreplaceable valuable documents (these should be transported personally)
6. Liability and Insurance
6.1 Basic Coverage
- All moves include basic liability coverage as required by law
- Basic coverage provides limited protection based on weight (typically $0.60 per pound per article)
- This coverage may not reflect the actual value of your items
6.2 Full Value Protection
- Additional insurance options are available for purchase
- Full value protection covers repair, replacement, or cash settlement at current market value
- We recommend discussing insurance options during the estimate process
6.3 Claims
- Any damage or loss claims must be reported within 9 months of the move date
- Claims should be submitted in writing with supporting documentation
- We will investigate all claims promptly and fairly
- Claims are processed in accordance with federal and state regulations
6.4 Limitations
We are not liable for:
- Damage to items improperly packed by the customer
- Pre-existing damage or wear and tear
- Items of extraordinary value not properly disclosed
- Delays due to weather, traffic, or circumstances beyond our control

7. Storage Services
7.1 Storage Terms
- Storage fees are charged monthly and are due in advance
- A storage contract will be provided outlining specific terms and conditions
- Access to stored items is available during business hours with advance notice
- Items must be properly packed and labeled for storage
7.2 Storage Liability
- Stored items are protected under the terms of your storage agreement
- Additional insurance is available and recommended for long-term storage
- We maintain secure, climate-appropriate storage facilities
8. Payment Terms
